We’re happy that you have an interest in becoming a member of Las Lomas Community Church! Because membership in the church gives the individual the high privilege of electing its pastor & officials, & setting church policies, it is imperative that members be in agreement with, believe in, & adhere to the church doctrines & practices.
EXPECTATIONS OF MEMBERS
Persons seeking a place of membership & service at Las Lomas Community Church should give clear testimony to being born of the Spirit of God (John 3:5-16), & having been filled with the Holy Spirit or be earnestly seeking that experience (Acts 2:1-5). It is expected that applicants follow the command to be baptized in water by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, & the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
Association with Las Lomas Community Church should indicate a departure from worldly or sinful behavior (2 Corinthians 6:14-17 & Romans 6:4). A Christian will continue to grow spiritually through daily prayer, study of the Bible, personal witnessing, faithful attendance, participation in Holy Communion & the support of the church with tithes (10% of one’s income), offerings & missions giving.

THE APPLICANT SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING …
- Evidence of a born again experience in Jesus Christ. John 1:12-13, 3:3-7.
- Water Baptism by immersion or a candidate for baptism. Matthew 28: 29.
- Evidence of a consistent Christian life. Eph. 4:17-31.
- Personal subscription to the Tenets of Faith as set forth in the Statement of Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God.
- Personal willingness to contribute regularly to the support of the church with the tithe and offerings according to one’s ability.
- At least 18 years of age.
APPLICATION PROCESS
You are eligible to apply for membership after attending Las Lomas Community Church regularly for three months. After giving prayerful attention to the matter of membership, please complete this application & submit it to a deacon or Pastor Esteban or Lorena Talavera. You’ll meet with the Board to learn more about the church & to share more about yourself (your interests, talents that you can use at Las Lomas Community Church, etc.). The Board will vote to receive you into membership & you will be notified of their decision
